Coming Events
New Executive body elected on 05-05-2019

Sindhi Society, Noida was formed in the year 1997. It was registered with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, U.P. in December, 1998. Since its inception in the year 1997, the Society has been actively engaged in promoting the Sindhi language and Sindhi culture by holding various programmes and functions throughout the year. Functions organized every year include celebration of Foundation Day (Lal Sai Mandir isthapana Diwas) on 26th January, Lal Loi, Holi Milan, Cheti Chand, Lal Chaliho etc.

We are also holding some social and cultural functions every year which include Sindhi Food Mela, Sindhi children’s cultural show, Talent Show, Sindhi Family No. 1 competition etc. 

Other activities undertaken by the Society include:

  1. Organizing Family picnics cum get together twice in a year ( February and August) for members and their families

  2. Organizing a one day outdoor trip (outside Noida/ Delhi) once every year

  3. Awarding prizes and mementoes to meritorious Sindhi Children scoring more than 75% marks in their Final examinations

  4. Honoring Senior Citizens of age 80 years and above

  5. Organizing Health Checkup camps

  6. Extending Financial help to needy families

  7. Sending Greeting cards to members and their family members on their Birthdays/ Wedding Anniversaries (Since discontinued due to erratic postal delivery system. It has now been replaced with sending greetings on Sindhi Society WhatsApp)

  8. Teaching of Sindhi language to interested Sindhi members and their children

  9. Extending matrimonial services ( This service has since been discontinued due to lack of interest from the members)

We are also publishing a souvenir which contains an updated directory of Sindhi Members. Besides this, every quarter we also publish News letter giving the details of developments during the quarter, new members joining , members leaving/ shifting , date of births/ anniversaries  and festivals falling during the next quarter besides other articles and stories of general interest. 

Society affairs are managed by an elected Executive Body comprising of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Additional Secretary, Social Secretary and Public Relations Secretary. Every year in the month of February, we are holding a General Body Meeting in which new Executive Committee members are elected for the year. Besides Executive Committee members, around 25 to 30 sector representatives and 3 to 5 Executive members are nominated.

Membership of the Society is open to all the adult members of Sindhi Families primarily residing in Noida and Greater Noida. Sindhis residing in NCR Delhi and anywhere in India, if interested, can also become members of the Society. 

Annual subscription for the members is Rs 500/-. For Life membership, the subscription is Rs. 5000/-For any additional member of the same family residing in the same house, subscription is 50% of the amounts indicated above.
